Chain Making Class

Here is your opportunity to learn and experiment with basic metalsmithing techniques (sawing, soldering, drilling, forming, plier work) to create a chain. Students will at minimum learn how to hand saw, make a clean solder, and construct 6 inches of chain. There is no maximum in techniques to try! 

This class will fulfill one of two prerequisite courses for those interested in guild membership. 

WHERE: Goshen Jeweler’s Guild (located above the Farmer’s Market, up the stairs marked PRIVATE)

WHEN: January 9, 11, 16, 18 from 6:30-9 (10 hours, Tuesday and Thursday for 2 weeks)

INSTRUCTOR: Anna Mast, charter guild member

COURSE FEE:  $100 due at first class session. All tools & copper/brass are provided.  Silver available for purchase.
